UTC’s have a particular focus on practical as well as academic excellence, and are established in partnership with businesses in their sector. LDE UTC is unique in having a Church body (the Anglican Diocese of Chelmsford) as a partner. This is why CTC was asked to develop a chaplaincy which harnessed the potential of faith-filled community organising to accompany and develop young leaders.
The Chaplaincy at LDE UTC offers:
Faith-Based Support
Chaplains offer faith-based support and guidance to students who seek spiritual direction. They help people explore and strengthen their faith, especially during times of crisis or uncertainty.
Religious Education
Chaplains may provide religious education and facilitate discussions on spiritual matters, helping individuals deepen their understanding of their faith.
Interfaith Engagement
Chaplains often engage in interfaith dialogue, respecting and supporting individuals from various religious traditions.
Faith-Based Organising
The chaplaincy supports students in beginning to think about how they can use their faith in their communities and neighbourhoods through community organising.
